This Season, Something New Begins
The sun still warms the desert, but there’s a shift in the air — mornings feel lighter, evenings are less humid, and the roads start calling again. In the UAE, when the heat begins its slow retreat, something always stirs inside me: the new riding and motorsport season is near.
What this change means
For months, summer meant hiding from the heat, canceling long rides, and carefully picking only early morning or late evening shoots. But as the temperature drops, the world becomes more ride-friendly. We can finally breathe again, without dehydrating and engines overheating.
For me, this isn’t just about riding. It’s also about creating — capturing motion, chasing light, and telling stories where adventure and filmmaking meet.
One of my favourite photos from Dakar 2025. Aim is to recreate it in a film.
My plans this season
Rides & adventure content: I want to explore new routes, maybe revisit some classic ones with better prep — maps, scouting, timing.
Photographs & video work: Try mixing motion blur with sharpness to reflect the feel of twisties and speed. Shoot some portraits of riders — gear, grit, emotion on the face, telling their stories.
Projects & experiments: Testing new cameras and microphones for action-packed riding scenes. Trying to capture sound + visuals — the braap and gurgle, gear shifts, tyres sliding on gravel.
New projects incoming.

A new creative chapter
Some of you might wonder — why talk about motorcycles on a photography and film website? For me, the two are inseparable. Riding feeds my creativity just as much as cameras do. Out there, it’s not about reaching a destination — it’s about the stories, the characters, and special moments that shape the journey.
That’s why I’m excited to share something new: together with a close friend, we are launching Balkan Enduro — a cinematic motorcycle channel that blends our passion for adventure riding with my filmmaking. The UAE season feels like the perfect backdrop to prepare and experiment, while Balkan Enduro will bring those rides to life in film.
Our first video drops soon — I’ll link it here once it’s live.
Why I share this
Because anticipation matters. The season ahead feels like a new chapter. Sharing this here isn’t a detour from photography and film — it’s an expansion. It’s a reminder that creativity often grows in unexpected places, whether that’s behind a lens or behind handlebars.
Here’s to cooler air, dusty roads, and new stories.
See you soon.
